Programs + Camps

The Koinonia Foundation, in partnership with The Therapeutic Recreation Program at The University of Tennessee—Knoxville, hosts residential camps at various locations throughout the year. These camps foster independence, cultivate friendships and provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities in a camp setting.

All Koinonia Programs & Camps

Camp Isagoge

Camp Isagoge is a day camp program for kids grades K-5 with varying disabilities. Location may vary.

Camp Koinonia

Camp Koinonia is our week-long flagship camp that started it all. This camp is for campers ages 7-21 with varying disabilities. It is held at 4-H in Crossville.

Koinonia Retreat

Koinonia Retreat is our extension of Camp Koinoina for participants age 21 and up. Held Thursday through Sunday in the fall at 4-H in Crossville.

We Adapt

We Adapt is our expanded service programs held locally in Knoxville. Events and programs happen all throughout the week to provide a social outlet for young adults with disabilities to build community.

Koinonia Classroom

We provide Special Education classrooms with 5 hour-long activity videos. Videos include camp songs and activities that have goals aligning with students’ IEP goals. Activities range from Exercise to Yoga to Music and Movement to STEM!
